What do I do if I have a claim?
West Suburban makes filing a business insurance claim easy. Call our office at (262) 783-6275 during normal business hours (9 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday-Friday) and we’ll walk you through the process. If you need to report a claim after business hours, you may also contact your insurance carrier’s 24-hour claims service. We still encourage you to give us a call the next day, too, so we can make sure your claim is being process and resolved as quickly as possible.
Does West Suburban write the insurance policy?
No. As an independent agency, we are authorized to sell policies for numerous top-rated insurance companies. We shop our network. You reap the rewards. As for our recommendations, we look at what your needs are and hand-pick plans that fit your situation and budget.
Are there ways I can reduce my insurance costs?
Absolutely. You can reduce your premium costs various ways by meeting qualifying discounts, pairing two or more policies together, and customizing your policy to meet your exact needs. Talk to our agents about how we can save you money.
How often should I review my business insurance?
It is good business practice to review your insurance coverage each year when you receive your renewal documents. Take some time to think about the last year – do you have more employees, more equipment, new technology, or more space? If so, you’ll want to be sure to give us a call. We’ll help you go through each product and determine if what you have still matches your business goals and budget, and we’ll make any necessary changes to help you move your business forward.
Do I need a business umbrella?
A business umbrella policy is an important part of your commercial insurance package, and just like a personal lines umbrella, it provides catastrophic liability coverage for business risks. It will provide additional coverage when the limits of your underlying policy have been exhausted, either because of a single catastrophic loss or because of multiple losses. Commercial umbrella policies also may provide coverage that is excluded on an underlying policy, but not the umbrella policy. We strongly recommend a commercial umbrella policy for all businesses.
